Worcester – Maria M. Osorio, 79, of Worcester died, peacefully in her home on Saturday, April 29th.
Maria was married to the late Elpidio Vargas who died in 1993. She is survived by her four children, Elizabeth Vargas of Worcester, Moises Vargas of Charlton, Roberto Vargas of Worcester and Tatiana D. Vargas of Salisbury; a sister, Gloria Osorio of Puerto Rico; 2 grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
Maria was born in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico daughter of the late, Urbano Osorio and Maria Serrano and moved to Worcester in 1992. She is also predeceased by a daughter, Janeret Vargas and 4 brothers and sisters.
Maria thoroughly enjoyed taking shopping trips and was devoted to her faith.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 3rd from 6 to 8 PM in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St., Worcester. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 4th at 11 AM in the St. Cecelia section of Notre Dame Cemetery 162 Webster Street, Worcester.
