Rita Arellano
January 22, 1931 – April 28, 2017
PROSSER WA – Tia Rita, 86, was welcomed into the arms of our Savior on Friday evening, April 28, 2017, at home with her beloved family. Rita devoted her entire life making sure the needs of her entire family were met before her own. She exemplified true unconditional love for everyone and was loved by all those she knew and grew up with.
Rita and her family worked many hard hours in the fields and followed the crops seasonally where work would take them. The large family traveled together and finally settled in the Yakima Valley.
Rita was preceded in death by her sister Mona, her brother Leon and many other close relatives. She is survived by her loving family; Estella and Carlos Trevino, Ester and DeWayne Miller, Adrian Vigil, Angela Miller (Dusty, Donnie, Myanda, Faithe, Conner), Dustin Miller (Dawn, Julian), Danny Miller (Kingston), Andrew Trevino (Melissa, Evalyn), and Adam Trevino (Troy).
A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, May 3rd at Prosser Funeral Home at 6:30 PM. Funeral services will be on Thursday, May 4 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 11 AM followed by lunch.
