Jacqueline S. (Wellons) Isom, 80, of Chesterfield, died May 1, 2017 at Miller's Merry Manor in Chesterfield after an extended illness.
Jacqueline was born November 9, 1936 in Anderson, the daughter or Oscar F. and Mary (Deaver) Wellons. She graduated from Anderson High School in 1955.
She worked production at Guide Lamp for 27 years before retiring in 2001. She was very active in United Auto Workers Local 663.
She was an avid bowler and enjoyed traveling. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She lived large for a small person.
She is survived by her three children, Victoria (Timothy) Dunn of Anderson, Rick (Susan) Isom of Anderson and Christopher (Pam) Isom of Sparta, TN; seven grandchildren; Mary Beth (Rick) Williams of Sparta, TN; Stephanie (Skip) Hamilton of Anderson; Trey Isom of Denver, CO; Jessica (Max) Isom of Norfolk, VA; Cody (Karrissa) Isom; Eli Isom and Emi Isom all of Anderson; six great-grandchildren, Faith Hamilton, Gabriel Hamilton ; Paisley Isom, Griffin Isom, Riley Williams and Ryker Williams.
She was preceded in death by parents and her sister, Shirley Wilhoite.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be given to American Cancer Society.
