Devine, Kathleen Margaret of Millis, formerly of Dover. Born Oct. 9, 1959, passed away surrounded by her family on April 28, 2017. Loving mother of Kaitlin M. Babin-Devine and Payton E. Babin-Devine both of Millis. Close friend of caregiver Gary J. Babin.
Daughter of K. Eileen (Flannery) Devine of Dover and Falmouth and the late John M. Devine Jr. Sister of Maureen C. Devine-Rhodes of Buckhannon, WV; Patricia E. Devine of Falmouth; Julia E. Devine-Theodore and her husband William J. Theodore of Dartmouth, MA; Tara J. Devine and her husband Karl-Erik J. Peterson of Bomoseen, VT and John M. Devine III and his wife Jeanne of Dover. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Kathleen graduated Dover-Sherborn High School, Class of 1977, UMass Amherst BA 1989, Boston College MSW 2015.
Kathleen was extremely proud of and dedicated to her 2 daughters, she reveled in their accomplishments. She loved animals of all kinds and routinely rescued dogs and cats. Politically engaged, she was an active debater and a passionate supporter of women’s rights.
A Celebration of Kathy’s Life will be held at Most Precious Blood Church, 30 Centre St. Dover on Tuesday May 2 at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Kathy’s memory to MSPCA, 350 S. Huntington Ave. Jamaica Plain, MA 02130 or to the (no kill) animal shelter of your choice.
