Cheryl E. Gabaree, of Somerville passed away peacefully April 27, 2017, at the Massachusetts General Hospital, following a short illness. She was 64 years of age. Born in Cambridge she was the beloved daughter of Marilyn Gabaree of Hyannis.
Cheryl will fondly be remembered for her devotion to her family, to her loving children and especially her cherished grandchildren who were truly the light of her life. Cheryl was a loyal and dear friend to many and always opened her home to anyone in need. She constantly placed the needs of others before her own. Cheryl loved animals especially her pet dog "Courtney". She enjoyed the ocean and spending time at Nantasket Beach and also taking trips to Cape Cod. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her family and those she loved.
In addition to her mother, Cheryl is survived by her children, Christina Gabaree of Somerville, and John Gabaree and his wife Diane of Wilmington. She was the loving and adoring grandmother of Kyle and Krista Gabaree. Sister of Dale Howland of Hyannis and is further survived by two nieces.
Funeral services will be held from the Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 374 Main St., Wilmington, Tuesday, May 2nd, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass celebrated in St. Dorothy Church, Main St., Wilmington, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4 thru 8 p.m. Interment Services will be private.
