Augusta, GA-Entered into rest Wednesday, April 26, 2017, Mrs. Kathy H. Slusher-Stephens, 71, wife of Mr. Bruce Stephens.
Mrs. Slusher-Stephens was born in Mt. Vernon, IL. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree from Ft. Hayes State College and her Education Specialist Degree from University of Southern Mississippi. Mrs. Slusher-Stephens retired from the English Department of Davidson Fine Arts. Mrs. Slusher-Stephens was a member and two-time president of the Magnolia Garden Club and member of the Divas Book Club and of the Old Friends Book Club. She was a member of Church of the Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Family members in addition to her husband include sons: David H. Slusher (Darlene) and James A. Slusher (Marilyn); grandchildren: Lila, Emily and Jonathan; brother: Hugh Hubble. Mrs. Stephens was preceded in death by her first husband: Dale Slusher, sister: Christine Hubble and brother: Patrick Hubble.
The family wishes to thank Betty and Costa Sivas, Dick and Claire Stracke and Carol with Trinity Hospice for all of their love and care.
A funeral Mass will be Tuesday, May 2, 2017, 12:00 Noon at the Church of the Most Holy Trinity with Fr. Jazek Szuster celebrant. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park.
