Joyce Elaine Pfeifle,66, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, formerly of Richmond Hill, Georgia, died Thursday, April 27, 2017, at her residence.
Graveside services will be held 11 AM, Monday, May 1, 2017, at Daniel Baptist Church Cemetery, in Richmond Hill, Georgia, with the Rev. Edsel Young and Dr. Jeff Pangle officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday evening, from 7 PM until 9 PM, at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Ms. Pfeifle was born in March 23, 1951, in Ocilla, Georgia, to the late J.W. Register and Ola Murray Register. Ms. Pfeifle moved to the community in 2013 from Richmond Hill and worked in the Healthcare industry as a supervisor of housekeeping.
She is survived by her grandson, Andrew Smith of Auburn, Alabama; two brothers: David & Patricia Register and Jimmy & Kathy Register; two sisters: Mary Lou Biggs and Julia R. Ray & Earl, all of Fitzgerald. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was also survived by her faithful canine companion, Daisy Mae. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Derrow Pfeifle; a son, Dr. Wesley Dean Smith and two brothers: Roger Wayne Register and Larry Donald Register.
