Hubert E. Kreger, age 92, of North Easton, died April 26, 2017, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Katherine J. (Joseph) Kreger. Born in North Adams, Hubert was raised in Brockton and spent most of his life in the city before moving to North Easton. He worked for Sheridan & Fitzgerald Liquor Wholesale for over 20 years before his retirement.
Hubert was very active at the Assembly of God Church in Brockton, where he found peace. He was passionate about giving to third world countries, especially Sudan and helping those in need. In his spare time, Hubert enjoyed reading the bible, learning the Word of God and watching the Patriots and Red Sox. He was very proud of his family and especially enjoyed time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Hubert will be remembered as a Good Samaritan who was quiet, humble, modest and loving and also for the way he lit up a room.
Hubert is survived by his children Ellena Coffey of North Easton and Regina Bagdon of South Easton; his grandchildren Sean, Larry, and Tammy Kreger and Joshua Bagdon; and his great-grandchildren Andreanna Bender and Loucas and Lawrencia Kreger. He was the father of the late Daniel Kreger.
A funeral service will be held at the Assembly of God Church, 199 Warren Avenue, Brockton on Monday, May 1st at 10:00. Graveside services will follow in Melrose Cemetery, 88 North Pearl Street, Brockton, at 11:30 am.
