Paula Jean Marsh, 74, of Weare, NH, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, April 25. She was born in Medford, Massachusetts on March 31, 1943, and was the oldest daughter of Paul and Virginia (Murphy) Kenney.
For more than 20 years Paula worked for New Hampshire Technical Institute where she retired from her Financial Aid Director position in 2003. She left there with great memories and lifelong friends.
Paula lived in Weare for 37 years and recently celebrated 50 years of marriage to her husband, Walter. She always enjoyed spending time with family and friends, never missing a chance to celebrate holidays, birthdays, a graduation or a wedding. She cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren, and each one of them held a special place in her heart. She also loved to spend time at the beach or by a pool, working on a tan that she hoped would last through the winter. Paula was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband, Walter Marsh of Weare; two beloved children, Melissa Martin and her husband David of Cary, North Carolina and Walter Marsh, Jr., of Weare; six grandchildren, Ana, Kaiden, Trevor, Quinn, Erin, and Dustin; sister Joan Dyment of North Reading, MA; brothers Paul Kenney, Jr. of North Reading, MA and David Kenney and his wife Bonne of Hebron, KY; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and sister Gail Hyldburg.
Calling hours were held on Saturday, May 6, 2017 from 10:00 to 11:30AM in the Peabody Funeral Homes, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry, New Hampshire. A memorial service followed at 11:30AM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Paula’s memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memorial and Honor Gifts, P.O.
