Theresa M. (Fontaine) St. Pierre, age 88, of Taunton, passed away peacefully, on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Madonna Manor in North Attleboro. She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur St. Pierre who died on January 7, 1983.
Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island on December 22, 1928, she was a loving daughter of the late Adelard and Aurore (LaBelle) Fontaine.
Theresa grew up in Pawtucket and was a graduate of West High School in Pawtucket. She had made her home in Taunton for the past twenty years and was a former resident of Pawtucket.
Prior to retiring, Mrs. St. Pierre had worked as an assembler for many years at Swank, Inc. in Attleboro. While living in Taunton she was a communicant of St. Paul’s Church and a former parishioner of St. Maria Goretti Church in Pawtucket.
Theresa’s favorite times by far were those spent in the presence of her adoring children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling and throughout her life had a special place in her heart for animals.
She is survived by her devoted children Elaine Bedard of Attleboro, Diane Stevens of Lincoln, RI, and Leonard St. Pierre and his wife Katherine of Taunton. She was the cherished grandmother of Michelle Bedard, Stephanie Stevens, Makayla Recine, Kelli St. Pierre, Kathleen St. Pierre, the late Michael Steven, and the great grandmother of Ethan, Alex, Raven, Isabella, Madison and MacKenzie. She was the mother in law of the late Joseph Bedard and sister of the late Omar Fontaine and Irene Houston.
Her funeral service, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Monday, May 1st at 12:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Notre Dame Cemetery, 359 Daggett Ave., Pawtucket. Burial will follow.
A funeral procession will form prior to the services at 11:00 A.M. at the Taunton Funeral Home, 8 Crapo St. (Off Route 140, Tremont St.) Taunton.
