Alice C. Calococci, age 96, a long-time Medford resident died peacefully in the company of her loving family at the Aberjona Nursing Center of Winchester. Born and raised in Boston’s North End, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Fanny (Tocco) Mestiori. Alice was a resident Medford for over 75 years. She was a wonderful cook and loved to crochet afghans for all her family.
Alice was the beloved wife of the late Ross (Rosario) Calococci, the loving mother of Nikki Thorud and her husband Rich, Dot Calococci, all of Medford and Tommy Calococci and his wife Ginny, of Waltham, as well as the devoted grandmother of seven, great-grandmother of ten, and great-great-grandmother of one. Alice was also a loving aunt to Stephen and Philip Harrington.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Saturday April 29th at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, at 10 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family at the funeral home, Friday 4 – 8 PM.
