Obituary

Dr. Anne (Gott) King, 94, of Hopedale, died peacefully on Monday, April 25, 2017 at Countryside Healthcare in Milford. She was the beloved wife of William P. King who died in 2011.

Born in Rochester, New York on May 23, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Martha (Barker) Gott.

Dr. King was a resident of Hopedale for the past 5 years and formerly resided in Parish, New York.

She graduated from Cornell University with a Doctorate in Veterinary Science. Along with her husband, she owned Goubeaud Animal Hospital in Bayside, New York for many years as well as Owl’s Landing Dairy Farm in Lowville, New York.

Dr. King had volunteered for Meals On Wheels and also at the library and schools in Parish and was a longtime member of the YMCA.

She is survived by four children, Alice Ingham-King of Roanoke, Virginia, Peter King and his wife Patricia of Parish, Martha Geiger and her husband Scott of Santa Rose, California and Daniel King and his wife Cheryl of Hopedale and a former son-in-law John “Jax” Ingham of Lowville.

She is also survived 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Sunday, April 30 in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) from 1 -3 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the Salvation Army, 29 Congress St., Milford, MA 01757.
