It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert A. Wirrell Sr. at age 77 of Brockton after a short illness on April 20, 2017.
He was the husband of the late Geraldine (Bessett) Wirrell and is survived by his children Laura Lee (Wirrell) Zubris and her husband Robert Zubris Jr. of Abington, Robert Wirrell Jr. and his wife Julie Wirrell of Dennis, Charles Blanchard of Brockton, and Alfred Blanchard of Fall River. He is also survived by his four grandchildren Amanda Wirrell of Lakeville, Jessica Bumpus of Pawtucket RI, Kimberly Blanchard of Brockton, and Charles Blanchard Jr and his wife Jessica Blanchard of Fall River, as well as 3 great grandchildren. He was the brother of William Wirrell of Milford, Thomas Wirrell of Lakeville, and Frederick Gilmore of Southwick, and Mary Rullo of Middleboro, as well as numerous nephews and nieces.
A private graveside service was held on April 24, 2017 at St. James Cemetery in Whitman.
