Josephine Billington (La Rosa) age 95 of Dorchester passed away April 23 rd at the Ellis Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Norwood. Born and raised Marsala, Sicily, Italy she came to the United States in 1955. She worked at EPSCO in Brookline and later for Harvard University in the Food Services Department for many years before retiring. Josephine enjoyed gardening, knitting and spending time with her family. Beloved wife of the late Giuseppe Licari. Mother of Catherine M. Poles of Dorchester and Josephine M. Vouriotis of Sharon. Sister of the late Antonino La Rosa. Also survived by 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by a grandson John Poles II. Relatives and friends invited to attend a funeral service at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington St. Canton Thursday morning at 10 am. Visiting hours Wednesday 5-9 pm.
