Nancy (Marchetti) Herra of Medford died on Saturday, April 22, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital of Medford. Raised and educated in Somerville, she was the daughter of the late Mario and Theresa (Dugan) Marchetti.
Nancy was the loving companion of Frederick McHale, and the devoted mother of Edmund DeSciscio and his wife Kimberly of Middleboro, Paul Herra and his wife Virginia of Fitchburg, Janice Medeiros and her husband Josh of Cumberland, RI, and Julie LeBlanc and her husband Derek of Wilmington. She was the loving grandmother of Ross, Derek, Emma, and Kyle DeSciscio, Matthew, Alexander and Nicolas Herra, Austin and Andrew Medeiros, Ryan, Adam and Alexis LeBlanc. Nancy was the sister of Maureen Heath and her husband James of Medford, Carl Marchetti of Centerville, and aunt of Eric, Robert, and Kyle Heath, and the late Kevin Soldani . She was predeceased by former husband James Herra.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Friday, April 28 at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis Of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday, April 27, from 4 through 8 PM. Interment will be private.
