Shirley M. (Mendoza) Buron, age 85 of Taunton, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2017 at Taunton Nursing Home.
She was the beloved wife of the late Edward F. Buron, Sr.
Shirley was born in Taunton, a daughter of the late John and Lena (Meetis) Mendonca.
She was a Taunton High School graduate, class of 1949, and continued on to receive a Degree in Nursing at Morton Hospital Nursing School. Before retiring she was a Paraprofessional Instructor at Bristol-Plymouth Regional High School for 10 years. Prior to that, she worked as an administrator at Crystal Springs School. Shirley enjoyed watching the Red Sox, playing bingo and golfing. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.
Mrs. Buron is survived by her daughters; Lisa O’Connell and her husband Joseph of Taunton, Cheryl Latour of Fort Lauderdale, FL., and Deborah Freidenfeld and her husband Fred of SC, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Taunton Nursing Home for their loving care and endless support.
