Obituary

Mr. Alban Bourque, of Taunton, died Thursday, April 20 in Marian Manor following a period of failing health. He was the beloved husband of Lorraine M. (Fougere) Bourque. He was born 98 years ago in Shediac, New Brunswick, Canada, the son of the late Leandre and Delima (Gallant) Bourque. He was educated in New Brunswick and had been a Taunton resident for the past 63 years. Prior to his retirement, Alban had been employed as a machinist for the Foxboro Company for 24 years. He enjyed carpentry, traveling, and spending time with his family. He was a communicant of St. Jude the Apostle Parish in Taunton.

In addition to his wife, he leaves: 4 sons: Claude Bourque and his wife, Mary of Assonet, Paul Bourque and his wife Brenda of Assonet, Bernard Bourque and his wife, Debra of Rehoboth, and Blair Bourque of Taunton; 2 daughters: Jocelyn Burnett and her husband, Steve of Taunton, and Claudette Kitsner and her husband, John of Taunton; 3 sisters: Lorraine Bourque of Kingston, Ontario, Maria Bourque of Shediac, New Brunswick, and Theresa Bourque of Shediac, New Brunswick; 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Alban was also the brother of the late Fred and Phillippe Bourque.

Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Saturday, April 29 at 9:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Jude the Apostle Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held on Friday, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
