Obituary

ANDREW "ANDY" CRAIGHEAD

Andy left us on Monday night, April 17th, while resting peacefully at the Brigham and Women’s hospital after a battle with cancer. His death leaves a void in the lives of those who knew and loved him.

Andy, 36, was an accomplished wine connoisseur and purveyor of fine wines. He traveled the world in pursuit of his avocation. Andy was a kind, generous soul who was most notably known as the “Life of the Party”. He had a zest for life. Andy loved his family, friends, Nantucket, skiing, New England sports teams, traveling the world, parties, wine, and sleeping late. Family members include his mother, Faye Craighead; his sister, Sarah (Craighead) O’Donovan and her husband, Michael O’Donovan; his father and stepmother, Rodkey and Joanne Craighead, and his brothers, Alexander and Joseph Craighead; his nephew, Thomas O’Donovan, and his nieces, Julia and Catherine O’Donovan; his close friends, Justin Berardo and Brad Rainville; his favorite dog, Ferdie, and his soulmate, Emily Brown. He is also survived by his grandmother, Betty Dunn and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Please join us on Saturday, April 29th, at 1:00 pm at the South Congressional Church, 27 Pleasant Street in Concord, NH for a Celebration of Andy’s life.

In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284 or to Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Development office, for the Transplant Critical Care Fund, 116 Huntington Ave., 3rd floor, Boston, MA 02116. We are so appreciative of the wonderful nurses (5A pod) and incredible doctors and social workers who cared and were so deeply attentive to Andy.
