Linda Sue Herring, 73, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia.
Ms. Herring was born October 17, 1943, in Macon, Georgia, to the late James & Margret Hendricks Elrod. She received her nursing degree and worked in Warner Robins and Valdosta. She also worked at Parkwood Development Center in Valdosta. Ms. Herring enjoyed watching cooking shows on TV and writing down new recipes. Ms. Herring attended Christian Fellowship in Fitzgerald.
She is survived by her son, John Thomas Herring & Debbie Ann of Fitzgerald; grandchildren: Miranda Page Herring of Fitzgerald and Billy Woods, Jr. of Humboldt, Tennessee and a great-grandchild, Lexen J.C. Herring. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Darlene Herring and two brothers.
