Frances E. (Santilli) Walkowiak, 90, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Lanessa Extended Care in Webster.
She leaves her husband of 64 years, Francis J. ‘Lolly’ Walkowiak, a daughter, Janet L. Mielewski, 2 grandsons; Christopher A. Mielewski and his wife Jennifer of Chepachet, Rhode Island and Jonathan F. Mielewski of Webster, 2 great grandsons; Mason and Findlay Mielewski and a brother, George Santilli of St. Petersburg, FLA.
Frances was predeceased by a son William P .’Billy’ Walkowiak who died November 13, 2004, her son-in-law, Boguslaw ’Bogi’ Mielewski who died April 14, 2015, and a brother, Edward Santilli.
She was born in Southbridge, the daughter of the late Pietro and Theresa (Rossi) Santilli, she also attended Becker Jr. College in Worcester and lived in Webster, most of her life.
Fran worked at the former American Optical Co. in Southbridge in the personnel office and later worked at the Webster Credit Union for many years, before retiring.
She was a member of St. Joseph’s Basilica, a former member of the St. Joseph Women’s Club and a former trustee at the Chester C. Corbin Public Library.
There are No Calling Hours.
A Memorial Mass for Fran will be Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 11 AM at St. Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb St. (Please meet at the Church), burial will be at a later date in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to: The Friends of St. Joseph School Fund, 53 Whitcomb St., Webster, MA. 01570 or to the charity of ones choice.
The ROBERT J. MILLER FUNERAL HOME and LAKE CHAPEL, 366 School St. is assisting Fran’s family with arrangements.
