Robert E. Teachman, 91, of Little Compton, RI died Sunday, April 16, 2017 at St. Anne's Hospital. He was husband of the late Ines E. (Brayton) Teachman.
Born in Newport, RI, he was son of the late Everett M. and Mary (Rose) Teachman. A veteran of WWII, he served his country in the United States Army. Mr. Teachman was a former member of the Portsmouth Volunteer Fire Dept, a member of the Little Compton Volunteer Fire Dept, a life member of the RI State Fireman's League and served as a Forest Fire Patrolman for the State of RI from 1950-1959. His proudest moments were when his late son David competed in the Special Olympics.
Graveside service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Pleasant View Cemetery, Tiverton at 10:00 A.M.
