Obituary

AnnMarie (Riding) Correia, 57 of New Bedford died April 16, 2017 at home after a long and courageous battle with ALS.
She was the wife of David L. Correia.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of Margaret C. (McDonnell) Riding of New Bedford and the late Paul G. Riding, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
Mrs. Correia was registered nurse and was formerly employed as Director of Operations Home Dialysis with Fresenius Medical Care until her retirement. During that time, she was dedicated to nephrology nursing with expertise in performance home dialysis. She also was a speaker at several international dialysis conferences on various topics related to home dialysis.
Mrs. Correia was a graduate of New Bedford High School, class of 1978. She enjoyed travel and knitting.
Survivors include her husband; her mother; 2 brothers, Paul Riding and his wife Brenda of Colonial Heights, VA and John Riding and his wife Patricia of Dartmouth; 2 sisters, Elizabeth Dufresne and her husband Rene and Mary Riding, all of New Bedford; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Her visiting hours will be held on Monday, April 24th from 4-8 PM the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Massachusetts General Hospital ALS Research.
