Obituary

John “Jack” D. Seferian, 90, of Medway, died April 17 in Milford Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Alice H. (Tiryakian) Seferian who died in 2011.

Born in Brighton, August 23,1926, the son of the late Armenag and Mary (Kalfayian) Seferian, survivors of the Armenian genocide, Mr. Seferian had live in Medway since 1932.

John had been an assembler from 1964-1989 at the General Motors Company factory in Framingham.
He had previously worked for 16 years for the Raytheon Corporation.

John enjoyed reading, gardening, trips to Cape Cod and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Above all he enjoyed time spent with his family.

Mr. Seferian had served in the Massachusetts National Guard.

He is survived by his children, Diana Shepherd and her husband Edmund of Mesa, AZ and his son Paul Seferian and his wife Penny of Medway.

He was the brother of the late Takuhe Ghugasian.

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Scott Shepherd and Kandie Seferian and his great-grandson Cooper Shepherd.

He is also survived by his nephews, Dr. Vartan Ghugasian and Armen Ghugasian and many cousins of the Minakyan, Candan, Giritlian, Karaian and Seferian families.

His funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 20 in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 3 Barber Street, Medway at 1:00p.m.

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, West Medway.

Visitation will be on Thursday from Noon until 1:00p.m.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the Armenian Church of the Holy Translators, 38 Franklin, Street, Framingham, MA 01702.
