DENT, THERESE “Terry” April 15, 2017 of Brewster, MA formerly of of St. Louis, MO and Spangler, PA passed away on April 15, 2017 at the age of 76.
Terry was the Assistant Dean for Field Education at the George Warren Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis before her retirement. Terry is survived by her son Joseph Dent of Montreal, Canada and her daughter Kimberly Markuns and son-in-law Jeffrey of Boxford, MA, sisters Pat Presto of Mentcle, PA and Loretta Hooks and brother-in-law Don of Plano, TX, brother Patrick James Dumm of Philadelphia, PA, stepson Andrew Sprengel and stepdaughter Jean Gatz and husband Michael, and grandchildren Vitalij, Agata and Renata Markuns. Terry was also the loving aunt of John Presto and wife Wendy, and niece Deena Hooks and nephew Jeffrey Hooks and wife Cristina and great niece Emmeline Hooks. She was predeceased by her husband Donald Sprengel and her sister Kathleen Dumm.
Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at St. Peter’s Church located on Flaherty Way in South Boston from 10-10:45 AM on Wednesday followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 AM. Interment services are private.
