ASSONET… Susan A. (Bronhard) Camara, 69, of Assonet passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River.
She was the widow of Carlton Camara.
Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Charles Sr. and Pauline (Zak) Bronhard. She had lived most of her life in Fall River before moving to Assonet in 2006 with her daughter’s family and became a communicant of St. Bernard's Church, Assonet.
She graduated from B.M.C. Durfee High School in 1965 and from Truesdale Hospital School of Nursing in 1969. She became a registered nurse and worked at Clifton Rehabilitation Nursing Center in Somerset for over 20 years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Susan was also a member of the Scleroderma Foundation of New England.
Survivors include her daughter, Kimberly Masterson and her husband Adam of Assonet, her grandchildren, Kaitlyn Masterson and Adam Masterson, Jr., her brother, Charles Bronhard, Jr. and 4 nieces. She was mother of the late Scott “Scottie” Camara.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 8:30 AM from the Boyko Memorial Funeral Home, 709 Broadway, Fall River followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM at St. Bernard’s Church, 30 South Main St. Assonet, MA. Visitation will be held between 8:30 and 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Scleroderma Foundation, 300 Rosewood Drive, Suite 105, Danvers, MA 01923.
