HUDSON/SEBRING FL

William E. VanBuskirk Jr., 85, of Sebring, Florida passed away on April 11, 2017 at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center in Daytona Beach, Florida. He was born on May 17, 1931 in Hudson, Massachusetts to the late William E. VanBuskirk Sr. and Esther M. (Cronin) VanBuskirk.

William was a Veteran of the United States Navy, serving during the Korean War. He was a member of the Elks Club in Hudson, and was the Owner of the Hudson Diner.

William is survived by his friend, Ann L. Campbell of Sebring, Florida; his daughters, JoAnne Thomas of Wilbur by the Sea, Florida and Susan Di Censo of Hudson; his sons, John VanBuskirk of Worcester, and James VanBuskirk of Framingham; his sister, Ann Marie Wise of Orange Park, Florida; his seven grandchildren and his four great-grandchildren. William was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Normande I. (Paradis) VanBuskirk.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday May 20th from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by a service at 11 a.m. in the Tighe Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson. Burial services will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association PO Box 417005 Boston, MA 02241-7005.
