Anthony J. Caliri, Sr. of Woburn formerly of Somerville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Lahey Clinic on Thursday, April 13, 2017 after a lengthy illness. He was 69.
The Beloved husband of Doreen (Bouchard) Caliri, he was the devoted father of Joanna Sullivan and her husband Don of Wilmington, Anthony Caliri and his wife Kim of Woburn, Ronda Pino and her husband Todd of Woburn. He was a loving grandfather "Nono" to Savannah, Gregory, and Colton Sullivan, Joseph, Sebastian, and Celia Pino, Anthony and Aidan Caliri. The dear brother of Rosemarie and the late William Grant of NH, and Sandy and the late Lenny Indelicato of FL., he also leaves behind his cherished goddaughter Juliet Costoplus and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family. He was the beloved son of the late Anthony J. and Joanne (Parisi) Caliri.
Anthony was a barber at the Caliri Barber Shop in Somerville for 17 years, he also drove cab for Green Cab in Somerville, and then went on to become a custodian for the Cambridge and Woburn Court house. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time by the pool with his grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Anthony Church, 851 Main St., Woburn, Wednesday, April 19th, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. There will be no calling hours. Please omit flowers.
