Obituary

NORTH GRAFTON_____ Bernard R. Anusavice, 82, of North Grafton, passed away in Beaumont nursing and Skilled Rehab Facility, Northbridge on Monday, April 10, 2017. He is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Mary A. (Carroll) Anusavice. He also leaves his two sons, Kevin M. Anusavice and his wife Nina of Worcester and Paul Anusavice of North Grafton; grandson, John P. Anusavice of Worcester; two brothers, Dr. Kenneth Anusavice and his wife Sandi of Newberry, FL and Gary Anusavice of RI; nieces and nephews. He was born in Worcester a son of Frank A. and Jennie M. (Angies) Anusavice.
Mr. Anusavice worked as a drafting instructor at Assabet Valley Regional Vocational and Technical School for many years prior to retirement. After high school, he attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He enlisted in the US Army and spent two years in Saudi Arabia during the Korean War. Upon his return, he married his wife Mary and began his family. A renaissance man, he bred homing pigeons for several years along with cultivating honey bees and honey until Parkinson Disease disabled him to enjoy his interests.
The funeral was held on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in St. Philip Church, 12 West St. Grafton. Burial followed in St. Philip Cemetery. Calling hours in the HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME were on Monday, April 17, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
