TIVERTON – Arnaldo “Arnold” Feliciano Marto , age 76 of Tiverton, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospital with his family by his side. Born in Alfeizeirão, Portugal, he was the beloved husband of Mariana (Aguiar) Marto and the son of the late Armando & Ida (Feliciano) Marto.
Arnaldo worked as a self-employed electrician & in retirement enjoyed a second career as a Radio Talk Show Host for “Voice of the Immigrant” on WHTB radio. Throughout his adult life, Arnold entertained people with his singing & guitar playing. On stage he was known as “Arnold Feliciano the Trovador Alegre”. He also hosted the TV show “Origins” on the Portuguese Channel.
In addition to his wife of Tiverton, he is survived by his sister, Ida Carvalho of Portugal and several nieces & nephews. He was also loved by many sister & brother in laws.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Wednesday, April 19th at 8:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John of God Church, Somerset at 9:00 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery.
