Winifred M. Bush, 100, died Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at her home. She was the widow of Mitchell W. Bush, MD.
Born in New York, New York, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Florence (Toman) Coughlan. She was a resident of Greenville for fifty-nine years, previously having lived in New York, Maryland and Illinois. She had graduated in 1939 from Worcester City Hospital School of Nursing, and was licensed as a registered nurse in Massachusetts, New York and Rhode Island. Winifred had worked for many years in hospitals such as Queens General Hospital in New York City and Roger Williams Pediatrics in Rhode Island before her retirement.
She was a New York Yankees fan and her favorite television show was Blue Bloods.
She is survived by her children: Thomas M. Bush of Greenville, Ronald W. Bush and his wife, Jodi of Johnston, Richard A. Bush and his wife, Ginger of Boynton Beach, Florida, Keith S. Bush and his wife, Fay of Lincoln, Christopher N. Bush of Greenville, Kenneth R. Bush and his wife Marsha of Cumberland, and Patricia A. Venditelli of Greenville, her 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She was the mother in law of the late David Venditelli and sister of the late Patricia A. Stankus.
The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to her care givers, Maryiln Ingham and Sue from Hope Hospice, devoted family friend, Julie Ramieri and Mary Kenney, Dawn, Arnetta, and Sonya from Bayada Nurses.
Funeral will be held at Tuesday at 8:30 am from the Anderson Winfield Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Johnston. Visitation will be Monday from 4-7pm.
