TEWKSBURY: Frances C. “Fran” (Culleton) Anderson, age 81, a longtime Tewksbury resident, passed away at home on Tuesday, April 11, 2017.
She was the beloved wife of 60 years to George E. Anderson.
Born in Lowell on November 3, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Edward M. Culleton and the late Alice (Godsell) Culleton.
Fran was raised in Tewksbury and later moved to Medford. She attended Medford schools and graduated from Medford High School 1954.
She returned to Tewksbury in 1956, and was an active communicant of St. William’s Parish, where she was a member of the Ladies Sodality.
Prior to her retirement in 1993, Fran worked as an office manager at the Dummer Street Store for the Market Basket Company.
Fran was a member of the Tewksbury Golden Age Club and Senior Drop-In-Center.
She enjoyed vacationing in Daytona, FL and spending time with her husband and family aboard their boat “Wynsum”
In addition to her husband, Fran is survived by two children, Christine M. Lopolito and her husband Christopher of Tewksbury and Michael G. Anderson of Tewksbury; two grandchildren, Sydnie E. and Samantha M. Lopolito; three sisters, Audrey Deshler of Lexington, Rose Grammer and her husband Edward of Shady Side, OH, and Ann Micheletti and her husband Richard of Vero Beach, FL; her lifelong friend, Phyllis Penta of Medford; also many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Fran was the sister of the late Patrick Culleton.
Calling hours are Tuesday, April 18, from 4-8 p.m., at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Her funeral will begin on Wednesday, April 19, at 9 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. William’s Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury. Interment at Tewksbury Cemetery. Kindly Omit Flowers. Donations in her memory may be made to the Oblate Infirmary, 486 Chandler St., Tewksbury.
