Helena (Gwozdz) Besse, 99, of New Bedford died Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was wife of the late Ernest T. Besse. Born in New Bedford, she was daughter of the late John and Mary (Polchlopek) Gwozdz. Mrs. Besse was a Communicant of St. John the Baptist Church, Westport.
Survivors include a son: Ronald E. Besse and his wife Kathleen; 2 daughters: Carole A. Johnson and her husband Gary and Elaine M. Stringer and her husband David; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
