Obituary

Linda (Guptill) Davis, 62, passed away from a long illness, April 5, 2017 at Pleasant Valley Nursing Center, Derry, NH.

Born April 18, 1954, she was the oldest daughter of the late Earle and June Guptill. She attended Lawrence Schools and upon graduating from Barron’s Hair Dressing School, opened her own shop Hair by Linda in Lawrence. She worked for Modicon in Andover, and Scott Electronics in Salem, NH.

Fulfilling a lifelong dream of becoming a mother, she was blessed with a beautiful son born in 1988. Linda was devoted to her son Joshua and he was the pride and joy in her life.

In 2002 she married husband Michael and the two enjoyed vacationing in the White Mountains, making annual contributions to Foxwoods Casino, and attending summer concerts at Hampton Beach on Saturday nights. A master at gardening, she loved working in her yard planting a variety of flowers making her home beautiful. A wonderful cook and baker, Linda enjoyed hosting Christmas dinner for her family every year. A generous and caring person, she loved her family dearly and spending time with them going to Lake George or having cookouts on the deck gave her much happiness. In 2011 Linda was blessed when she became a grandmother to Sophia who she adored.

She was predeceased by her mother June, father Earle and sister Donna. Linda is survived and will be deeply missed by loving husband Michael Davis, son Joshua Bonifas and his wife Jessica, sister Julie Guptil and her life long companion Jill Kochanczyk, granddaughter Sophia Bonifas, nieces April Vitulli and Mia Kochanczyk, and nephew Robert Vitulli. She is also the great aunt to Jordan, Lily, and Ivy Vitulli.

Friends and guests are invited to call on Monday, April 10, 2017 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St. Methuen. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church, 30 Park St. Methuen. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery of Methuen.
