Obituary


George Bobzin, age 90, of Weymouth passed away April 4, 2017. George was born in NY then raised and educated in Quincy. After high school he joined the Army Air Corps and served two years during WWII. When he returned from the war he married his wife, Ruth, and they settled in Weymouth where they raised their family. George was an electrician by trade and enjoyed riding his bike all over the state, even to work in Braintree and Canton.

George is predeceased by his beloved wife Ruth Bobzin (Jackson). He is survived by his children Douglas Bobzin and his wife Sally of VA and Marcia Hicks and her husband William of Halifax and the late Bruce Bobzin. George is also survived by five Grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visiting hours for George on Monday, April 10, 2017 from 2-4pm in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth, MA 02190. A funeral service to honor George’s life will immediately follow the visitation at 4pm. A private committal will take place at a later date at the MA National Cemetery in Bourne.
