Obituary

Jeanne returned to our Lord on Monday April 3, 2017. Born and raised in Lewiston, ME on Feb 28, 1936, the daughter of Harvey and Marie-Ange Champagne Pare. Jeanne attended schools in Sabattus and Lewiston, ME graduating from St Dom’s High School in 1954.

Upon marrying the late Robert N Neil in July of 1958, she began another life chapter residing in Berlin, NH raising their two children, Linda and Richard.

Over the years, here work history included Converse Sneaker Co, a Chapter 1 Tutor for 15 years, a department aide at Androscoggin Valley Hospital, and finally as a Medical Records Clerk at Coos County Nursing Home until her retirement in June of 1998.

She was a communicant of St Kieran Church and worked many years at the fall festival. Jeanne devoted many years to the local Girl Scouts as a Troop Leader, Community Chairman, Day Camp Registrar and Arts & Crafts Director. Since retiring she enjoyed scrapbooking, solving crossword puzzles and participating in aqua aerobic classes at the Royalty Athletic Club.

Jeanne thoroughly enjoyed the many family gatherings, special celebrations and preserving cherished family traditions. Her most beloved memories were those of being “Mimi” to her only grandchild Rebecca.

Daily afternoon tea time provided much laughter and heartfelt conversations with her kindred spirit sisters Joyce Douglas and the late Dot Desrochers.

Jeanne’s final years were spent in Manchester as an active resident @ St Teresa’s Manor experiencing new adventures while making many new friends.

She is survived by a daughter Linda Neil Dutile and her husband Thomas of Manchester; her son Richard and his wife Dianna of Sabattus, Me; one granddaughter Rebecca Dutile of Manchester; one sister Beatrice Pare Fogg and her husband Reginald of Dover, NH and many nieces and nephews.

Jeanne was predeceased by her husband Robert N Neil in Sept of 1996. They had been married 48 years. She also was predeceased by her parents.

SERVICES: A funeral service will be held on Friday April 7, 2017 at 10:30 AM at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave., Berlin. Interment will be in St. Kieran Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 9 AM to 10:30 AM prior to the service.
