Charles S. Nelson, 95, passed away April 1,2017.
He was a Baptist by faith, a veteran of W.W.II retired after 25 years from U.S. Army, and the M.S.D.; a lifetime member V.F.W. Post 5421 and American Legion Post #220.
Charles was preceded in death by his wife Cora A. Nelson.
Survivors include his children Wilda D. Saylor, Nettie M. Austin and James E. Nelson; 12 grandchildren ; 23 great grandchildren and 15 great- great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be Thursday at 11 A.M. at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens (West).
Visitation will be Wednesday at 2 P.M. until 8 P.M. at funeral home.
