O’BRIEN, Carol A. (Laidley) of Winthrop and Revere, passed away on March 30, 2017. She was 74. Born in Winthrop, she was the daughter of the late Frederick F. and Florence N. (Ciampa) Laidley. Devoted mother of John H. “Jack” O’Brien and his wife Lisa of Revere and the late Roberta O’Brien-Maggiano. Adored grandmother of Dylan and Cody O’Brien, James Maggiano and Michael O’Brien. Dear sister of Steven J. Laidley of Winthrop, Dr. Bettina D. Laidley of Tamworth, NH and the late Frederick N. “Chick” Laidley and Robert J. Laidley. Loving aunt of Dr. Belinda Laidley-Collias of Memphis, TN and her Godchild, Phoebe Laidley-Collias of Vermont. Visiting hours will be held in the Maurice W. Kirby Funeral Home 210 Winthrop St. Winthrop on Fri, April 7, from 9-11am. A Funeral Mass will follow in St. John the Evangelist Church-Winthrop at 11:30am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to AID FOR KIDS 9 Market Sq. Houlton, Maine, 04730, for the MOSA project. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be in Winthrop Cemetery.
