Obituary

William “Bill” Kay Jordan, 84, entered into rest on Friday, March 31, 2017 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, April 3, 2017 at Platt’s Belair Road Chapel with Rev. Billy Bennett officiating. Entombment with Navy Honors to follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

Mr. Jordan was a loving father, grandfather or “Pop-Pop”, and great-grandfather. He worked for 39 years until his retirement with the DuPont Company. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Augusta since 1975 where he was a member of the Faith, Love, and Hope Sunday School Class. Mr. Jordan served his country proudly with the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He lived a modest Christian life and loved gardening, the Atlanta Braves, and had the ability to fix anything. Mr. Jordan was previously married to Betty Scruggs Jordan for 19 years. He was the loyal and devoted partner of Judy Jeffcoat.

Mr. Jordan is survived by his daughters, Wanda Jordan Richardson (Jack), and Linda Jordan Fernandez (Jack); his granddaughter, Ashley Nicole Richardson Smith; and his great-granddaughter, Isabella Jordan Richardson.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until service time.
