Jo Anne B. (Staiger) Foster, 62, of Medway, passed away on Wednesday, March
29, 2017 at Milford Regional Medical Center. She was the beloved wife of
James R. Foster Jr.
Born in Coudersport, PA on June 6, 1954 she was the daughter of Barbara
(Albany) Staiger and the late Jack Staiger.
Jo Anne had been a resident of Coudersport before moving to Massachusetts
in 1985 with her family. She was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh
at Bradford with a BA in Journalism and Boston University with a Masters
in Journalism.
Mrs. Foster had work for the Bradford Era Newspaper in PA and the
MetroWest Newspaper in MA. She also worked in medical records at the
Charles Cole Medical Center in Coudersport.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by her daughter Jamie
Perella and her husband Nick of Franklin, her son Matthew Foster and his
wife Rebecca of Lake Mary, FL, her grandchildren Andrew and Emma
Perella and Littany Foster. She is also survived by her siblings Andrea Ayers,
Laurie Staiger, and Gary Staiger all of FL.
She was the mother of the late Joshua Lee Foster who passed away in 2013.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber Street, Medway on Saturday April 8th at 12
Noon.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4:00-8:00 PM in the funeral
home.
Burial will take place in Wharton, PA at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in her name to a charity of
your choice.
