Obituary

GILFORD - Karen Lynn Barron Lanigan, 57, AKA Nana & Mom, passed at the late hours of Saturday March 25th 2017 unexpectedly due to health complications in her home in Gilford NH. By her side was Edward Lanigan husband of 34 years.

Survived by her three sons Lucas, Eric, & Nicholas Lanigan and Five grandchildren (who she adored and loved so much) Camilo, Alexander, Simon, Santiago, and Avianna.

Our Mother was Born November 21, 1959 in Berlin NH to John & Ruby Barron. Mom was the youngest daughter of four siblings and an older sister to her brother Tommy who she will be making her new home with. Karen graduated from Berlin High School and then continued onto NH Technical College in Berlin before marrying her husband of 34 years and moving to Laconia.

Our mother was the most amazing mom and wife a house full of boys could ask for. She taught us compassion, respect, and to care for others. She always made sure everyone around her was taken care of first and set the bar high for us to follow. There wasn't a sporting event or lunch she missed for us. As a grandmother she adored her grandchildren and spoiled them to the moon and back.

Mom will be remembered most for her energy and passion for a good time. She loved camping the summers away, tending to her amazing gardens, and baking some of the best treats you ever had.

Calling hours will be held from 1PM-4PM Saturday April 1, 2017 at Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, using the Carriage House entrance.
