Obituary

Stephen M. DiFronzo, 56 of Methuen, passed away on Sunday morning after bravely battling cancer until the very end. He was surrounded by his loving Family. He will forever be deeply missed.

Stephen was a proud member of the F.M.R.T. (Flying Monkey Response Team). Golfing and fishing were some of Stephen’s lifelong passions. His friends meant the world to him. Stephen’s personal quote to the F.M.R.T. members, “It’s been a long run and I will miss every one of you.””Order Up!”

Stephen, originally from Medford, MA worked in the biotech industry for 23 years. He made many lifelong friends along the way. He enjoyed sharing his knowledge and experience. He was a mentor for many. As a bioprocess specialist on the Downstream Clinical Manufacturing Team, Stephen was awarded a 2016 Biologics Development Organization Safety Award. He was well known for his vast knowledge of the purification process.

Stephen loved his home and referred to it as his happy place. He was always improving on it and creating wonderful memories. He enjoyed working in the yard and on his cars. He loved being a “Jack-of-all-trades” and was eager to lend a helping hand. Stephen was there whenever needed. He always went above and beyond. “I’m a giver” he would say.

Stephen is survived and will forever be missed, by his loving wife, Sherry B. DiFronzo of Methuen. His mother, Pietrina Tocco of Medford, and his sisters Anita Coons and Lisa DiFronzo of West Newbury.

Stephen wanted only private remembrances with loved ones. No public services will be held.
