Bobby Duke , 67 years of age, has passed from this earth peacefully on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Community Memorial Hospital in Ventura, California, following his long struggle with cancer.
Bobby leaves behind his son Glenn Herrera, his brother Glen Duke, and his sisters: Olga Tarver, Helen Villanueva, Irene Lardizabal, Lisa Duke, and Frances Graves. Bobby also leaves behind his three grandchildren: Isidore, Genavieve, and Braden Herrera, along with many nieces, nephews, and very close friends and colleagues.
Bobby graduated from Hueneme High School in 1968 and later enlisted in the U.S. Army where he went into battle for his country in Vietnam. Bobby was a lifelong building contractor and his passion in life was spending time with his three grandchildren and attending their many events such as track, cross country, basketball, and dance. What made Bobby the happiest is being with family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to visiting hours to be held on Thursday April 6, 2017 from 4 to 9pm in the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 757 E. Main Street Ventura, CA 93001. Funeral Services will be held Friday April 7, 2017 at 11am in the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 757 E. Main Street Ventura CA 93001, followed by Military Honors in the Funeral Home.
