Fernando M. Mendonca, age 92 passed away on March 21, 2017. He was the son of the late Fernando P. and Claudiana (Monteiro) Mendonca, and husband of the late Rita (Perry) Mendonca. He was a United States Army veteran of WWII Battle of the Bulge, and worked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Public Works Department for 30 years. Fernando also enjoyed playing the saxophone and ballroom dancing.
He is survived by his children; Angela Mendonca, Malinda Cloutier (husband Ray) and Shawn Mendonca, grandchildren; Jessica M. Mendonca-Gunn, Maya and Sean Mendonca and several nieces and nephews. He was also the father of the late Nadine J. Mendonca.
His funeral service will take place in the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, INC. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Monday at 11 A.M. Interment Newport Memorial Park. Visitation Monday morning 10-11 A.M.
