Vera Olean Bullington, 87, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at Pruitt Health in Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Sunday, March 26, 2017, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Ronald Parks officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Sunday.
Mrs. Bullington was born March 13, 1930, in Lockhart, Alabama, to the late Frank Tosh Williams and the late Fannie Estelle Funderburg Champion. She was a former resident of New Smyrna Beach, Florida and moved to the community in 1980. Mrs. Bullington worked at a flower nursery and worked for Fitzgerald Underwear. Mrs. Bullington was a member of Anderson Memorial Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children: Jimmy Jeff & Margie Lee of Lexington, North Carolina and Alice Faye Anderson & Leon of North Carolina; stepsons: Charles Damon Bullington of Montrose, Curtis & Marie Bullington and Ralph & Paula Bullington, all of Fitzgerald, and Jimmy & Michelle Bullington of Ocilla. Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and also a special granddaughter Miranda Grace Bullington of Fernandina Beach, Florida survive. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Howard Bullington; three children and a half-sister.
