Andre U. Viens, 83, of Berlin, passed away on Thursday March 23, 2017 at his home. He was born in Dixville, PQ, Canada on April 19, 1933 the son of the late Victor and Eva (Tardif) Viens and married his wife, Doris, there. They moved to Nashua, NH in the early 1960’s where he was employed by Eastern Drywall in Boston, MA for many years before starting his own drywall company in the early 1980’s. Andre and Doris moved to Berlin in 1982. He loved to fish, hunt and go camping and had enjoyed motorcycling and snowmobiling in his younger days.
Family includes his wife Doris (Doria) Viens of Berlin, NH; son Yves Viens of Berlin, NH; daughters Sylvie Perron of New Boston, NH and Joanne Michaud of Berlin, NH; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 2 brothers; 9 sisters; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a son, Clermont Viens, in 1978 and by 3 brothers.
Graveside Services will be held at the St. Louis de Gonzague Cemetery in Nashua, NH on Thursday March 30, 2017 at 1 PM. There will be no calling hours. The Bryant Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
