Ruth M. Witt (Ahlberg), age 90, passed away on March 22, 2017 just thirteen days after her beloved husband of seventy years, Raymond Witt Jr., died. Ruth was raised and educated in Norwich, CT where she met Raymond. They got married in 1946 and settled in North Weymouth in the family home in whichthey resided in for sixty years. Ruth enjoyed spending time with her family and raising her three daughters.
Ruth was recently predeceased by her beloved husband Raymond N. Witt Jr. She is survived by her loving daughters Kathleen Richen and her husband Neville of Nantucket, Judith Fitzhugh and her husband Mark Lopez of CA, and Sandra Hadden and her husband Peter of Weymouth. Ruth is also survived by her cherished grandchildren Jason Sullivan, Amanda Bidlack, Emilie Sizemore, Peter Hadden, Sara Morrison, and Greig Hadden, and her great-grandchildren Aidan and Nora Sullivan and Samuel Bidlack.
Ruth’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the Pope Nursing Home in Weymouth for the excellent long-term care and compassion that was shown to Ruth over the years.
A Private Service celebrating Ruth’s life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Art Program at First Baptist Christian School at 40 West St. S. Weymouth, MA 02190.
