Obituary

WHITMAN: George Edward Kaiser, age 84, passed away on March 23, 2017, after a two-month illness. He was born in Dorchester, the second of five sons of the late Percy and Mary Ellen (MacDonald) Kaiser.

He grew up in Randolph and was a veteran of the United States Army.

He was formerly employed by Thompson Wire of Mattapan, Milton Hospital, and retired in 1994 after thirty years of service with the Town of Randolph Highway Department.

In 1976 George moved with his parents to Whitman, where he was an active member of the Church of the Holy Ghost as a daily communicant, a Eucharistic Minister, and a member of the church choir.

He was a co-owner with his brothers and his nephew Jack of the family homestead in Grand Tracadie, Prince Edward Island, Canada, where he summered every year.

George was the brother Stanley J. Kaiser and his late wife Hilma of Maryland, James Francis Kaiser and his wife Kathleen of Yarmouth Port, John A. Kaiser and his wife Anne of Bridgewater, and Thomas R. Kaiser and his wife Anne of Randolph. He is survived by sixteen nieces and nephews, including his Godchild and caregiver Jennifer Shields and her family of East Bridgewater with whom he was especially close. He also leaves twenty-nine grandnieces and grandnephews, as well as many dear cousins in Prince Edward Island.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend his funeral services on Monday March 27th at 8:15AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St. (Rte. 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at the Church of the Holy Ghost at 9:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. James Cemetery, Whitman. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday March 26th from 4:00-7:00PM.
