Obituary

Entered into rest on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, Mr. Robert E. Kochli, age 88, loving husband of 53 years to Dorothy Craig Kochli.

Mr. Kochli was a native of Brooklyn, New York. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War, where he was awarded the Purple Heart for bullet wound sustained in the battle of Heartbreak Ridge. Robert was a graduate of Cornell University and was a successful business owner. He also excelled in management with a number of wholesale food companies. He was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church, Aiken, SC.

Family members, in addition to his wife, include sons: Robert E. Kochli, Jr. (Sheila), Craig Alan Kochli (Annette); daughter: Carolyn Kochli Wood (James): grandchildren: Caitlin Kochli Brown (Grant), Sydney Kochli, Kennedy Kochli, Piper Wood; and brother-in-law: John Craig (Joan).

Mr. Kochli was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Marie Kochli.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 1pm at St. John’s United Methodist Church, Aiken, SC. with Dr. Tim McClendon and Rev. Nancy Reid officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s United Methodist Church, 104 Newberry Street NW, Aiken, SC 29801.

The family will receive friends following the service in Ward Hall of the church.
