Obituary

Jesse A. Brakey, 25, of Natick, died unexpectedly Sunday, March 19, 2017 at the Metro West Medical Center in Framingham.
He was the beloved son of Ellen (Rosenfeld) Brakey and her partner Cheryl Lewandowski of Natick. He was the adored son of the late David S. Brakey.
A lifelong resident of Natick, he was born in Boston and was the cherished grandson of Robert and Ida Rosenfeld of Poughkeepsie, NY and the late Walter and Gladys Brakey of Holyoke, MA.
Jesse was employed as an Engineer at GZA GeoEnvironmental. He was a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst Class of 2016, attended Santa Clara University and was currently in the Masters of Engineering program at the University of North Carolina. Jesse attended the Natick School system and graduated from Natick High School class of 2010.
Jesse was an active outdoor enthusiast, musician, athlete and dedicated employee. He had an engaging personality and was a friend to all that knew him.
At Natick High School he was the captain of the tennis team and a member of the ski team. He was also a member of the National Honors Society. As a percussionist, he was a member of the Natick High School band, Jazz Ensemble, Symphony and Orchestra Groups and was a member of BYSO, the Greater Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra.
Jesse is also survived by his loving sister Danielle N. Brakey and her boyfriend Sean Donohue of Natick, the love of his life Melissa Steidler of Southborough, aunts and uncles Judy Rosenfeld, Stacy Hall and her husband Colonel Robert Hall, Glenn Brakey, and Randy and Laurie LaPointe, and many cousins and dear friends including Greg, Vee, and Ali Lewandowski, Lisa and Brad Kimler and their family, Bill and Diane Steidler, longtime best friend Tyler Glenn and his faithful dog Duncan.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Saturday, March 25th at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street, at Natick Common. Visiting hours are Saturday beginning at 11:00 A.M. prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the Franciscan Children’s Hospital, 30 Warren Street, Brighton MA 02135.
