William “Bill” L. Peterson, 78 of Belmont NH, formally of Duxbury, MA passed from this life on Thursday March 16, 2017.
Bill was born in Braintree, MA, where he grew up and later built a successful auto body repair business. He later became a cost-price analyst for the U.S. Dept. of Defense. He also served in the U.S. Air National Guard. Bill was happiest surrounded by family, where he would share stories, his quick wit, incredible cooking and his love of the water. He retired to Lake Winnisquam, where he passed that love on to his children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years, Claire (Moran) Peterson of Belmont , a daughter Kimberly A. Cirame, and her husband James of N. Andover, MA, sons David W. Peterson of Marshfield, MA, and Michael J. Peterson and his wife Rochelle of W. Bridgewater, MA; six grandchildren William and Emma Cirame, Liam and David Peterson, and Sean and Audrey Peterson, a sister Brenda A. Nudd and her husband Loring “Chuck” Nudd of Duxbury, MA, and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, Walter L and Florence A (Cummings) Peterson and his brother Bruce W. Peterson.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 24, 2017 from 5:00pm - 8:00pm at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia NH using the Carriage House entrance.
A funeral service will be held Saturday March 25, 2017 at 11:00am at the Congregational Church of Laconia, 69 Pleasant St.
